5Meadowville House

Located in Scotsburn, my business is still in its infancy. Currently an AirBnb rental under the name Meadowville House, the business will eventually consist of the guest house, an artist studio/residency and event space.

With direct access to the Trans Canada Trail and plenty of room to expand and grow, I am beyond excited to meet and connect with folks from Pictou County!

How can people contact you?

Meadowville House can be found on Facebook,  Instagram, AirBnb and Gmail.

Please reach out if you want to have a chat!

What local businesses do you encourage others to check out?

Prior to purchasing in Pictou County, I am sad to say that I didn’t spend a lot of time in Pictou County. So I can’t truthfully answer this one, but I am looking forward to discovering new and exciting businesses in this part of the province!

Why do you choose to do business in Pictou County?

As my business is both a live and work situation, I not only chose to set up roots somewhere that has an existing artist community and other endless connections, I also am close to where my family is.

On the weekend you will find me?

Reading! The past 18 months I’ve revisited some old faves and come across some gems.

What makes you passionate about your business?

The idea came to me after some reflection during quarantine. As the world slowed down, I thought about my strengths, what I had done until this point and really got to the core of what I enjoyed doing.

I finally realized that I loved bringing people together. I love the idea of collaborating with people and businesses that at first glance may not seem like an obvious fit.

And that’s where this idea of having a space where people can meet, and create and just have fun evolved from. The fact that it will continue to evolve is so very exciting.
